Library books

I haven't been to the library for years but I went yesterday to check out a 10p book sale (more on that another day*) When I went to check some books out it became apparent that I hadn't actually been for 3 years and that I had a fine waiting for me for a Miffy book and a fairy book - £12 worth of fine actually!! Once I had paid my fine the nice man let me have some books out :)

I've been wanting to look at the 1,000 ideas for Creative Re-use for a long time and the quick flick through I had looks good. I LOVE Angie Lewins works so I'm eager to dip into this one too. And the Recycled Home appealed to me for obvious reasons :) If I get lots of work done today then I will allow myself to sit on the sofa surrounded by these books later tonight - but only if I get the work done!

*Hey I have to blog everyday for a whole month - I'm spreading these babies out :)

You've inspired me to go to the library, I also haven't been for ages. I guess we should all be using our libraries more what with the possibility of closures. Happy reading!!

Goodness £12!! Have you still got the books or are they long recycled?!

I haven't been to the library in ages, the reason being my children, when they were little they thought they could keep the books and just couldn't grasp the concept of returning them!! It was easier just not to go!!

Good luck with your post a day challenge x

PS You aren't too far off with your answer on my blog - but not too close either. I can see where you're coming from ;)

My mum used to work in the library and would phone me to prompt me when the books were due back. I don't think i've taken a book out since she retired!!
