My Creative Space - fabric!

I am taking full advantage of the gorgeous weather we are having in the UK at the moment to take my Creative Space outside. I am cutting enough fabric for 130 chickens and it is taking it's toll on my arm!! At least I can enjoy the bird song and sunshine while I'm at it :)

For more Creative Spaces check over here. And as I cut out lots of straight lines do you think I would be better off using a rotary cutter? And if so, which brand would you recommend?

I've found the rotary cutter very handy. It takes me a little longer sometimes, as I line up my ruler and all, but it's well worth it. I rarely use shears unless I'm just doing a quick cut that doesn't need to be precise.

Just remember: Never ever leave the safety guard off your cutter at any time except when you are actually cutting the fabric. Even setting it down nearby can result in a nasty nick--and this is the voice of experience!

"cutting enough fabric for 150 chickens" hahha. That made me laugh . . . there's probably not too many times that sentence has come together in history. As for rotary cutters I like the ones with a super straight grip, not a rounded one . . . but I think if you spend around $10 they're all about the same. But for the love of GOD BE CAREFUL!!!

I totally vote for the rotary cutter! I got my first one earlier this year and it is soooooo handy:) But as others have noted be careful, ALWAYS keep the guard on except when in use. Good luck! Cyndy
