Ta da! The giveaway is here!

At long last I can hear you thinking! Come on I'm only 25 posts past the 300th - it's not that far past :)

So the prize you can win is a $30 gift certificate for my Etsy shop - yep $30 worth of goodies free! You can use the certificate to include post and packaging if you wish or you can pay for that separately. The gift certificate will be valid until 31st December 2008.

These are some items that I have made over the past couple of years just to give you an idea of what I can do. Of course if you fancy something that you have seen me make via this blog and it's not in my Etsy shop then I can always try to help!

I've also reduced the price of my occasions cards to $1 each - yep $1, so if you win then there's a good opportunity to stock up. You can find those in my clearance section. And I've also reduced the price of the journals in my whoops section too down to $10 from $17.

All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment and tell me about your best freebie - it can be anything as long as it was free! I'll leave this up for one week so until Wednesday 17th Sept. Good luck :)

Is being first lucky? I do like a nice bit of free love, today followed by a free lunch, proving there is no such thing. See my blog soon for what I have made from a bag of donated fabrics. Free fabric is the best EVER- perhaps I will change my mind if I win the free shopping!

I have always relied on the kindness of strangers.. Really, I have scored lots of nice freebies in my life, or things I find nice, anyway. I love to give, and it comes back to me. The most recent freebie: my friend gave me an Andy Warhol calender last night!

hmmm just picking one freebie is hard.
The free computer was nice (even if it only lasted 6 months, better than nothing), the gourmet cook book was a really great freebie (even if its just to look at the pretty pictures of food I will never make :p) The free couch is great for something to sit on other than the floor :p

I love your Set of 10 Beatrix Potter gift tags! Very cute. Best freebie? Well, I guess it would have to be when I attended a fashion show and got a nice goodie bag filled with tops and beauty products :)

I filled out a survey for Dell as I had just purchased two basic laptops. I was selected to receive a gift card for my participation. It was for $1500.00...we bought a 37 inch LCD flat panel TV. Shortly after we received the TV, Dell put the same model on sale for $250.00 less than we paid. I had a nice online chat with customer service, after a little back and forth discussion they gave me two $100.00 gift cards. I used those to buy a nice digital camera. :o) PS, I love all of your sites, Cuteable is wonderrful for gift ideas!

I don't know about you, but I absolutely love being offered free tissue paper (the advertorial kind) because I always forget to bring my own!

My best freebie has got to be a huge mirror I recently found in the bin store in our buildings basement. I don't think I've ever sweat so much as when I was in the lift up with it (convinced its owner would catch me). They were throwing it out but still...

my best freebie has to be my desk. made in 1957 as a teachers desk it was being chucked out from the school i work in. So I took it home, sanded it down, re-varnished it and gave it a pretty pink glass knob for the drawer. It's where my sewing machine lives :)

Just found your blog today, so glad I did. I will be a regular visitor. My best freebie was two years ago when I won a quilt at the Country Living Fair in Chicago. I am a quilter so it was very exciting. I then sent the quilt to New Orleans with a friend who was building a house for a single mother. It was two gifts in one!

My best freebie would have to be the Thomas the train set that I recently picked up off Freecycle! It had tons of track, 61 separate train engines and cars, the Island of Sodor, a sawmill, and some other sets with it. I brought it home and my husband set it all up - the look on my son's face when he saw it was priceless! That was the best freebie ever!!

the best freebie? aside from free samples of coffee at coffee shops would have to be some vintage childrens books that were being thrown out of a relatives attic... I scooped them up and through battered and mouse eaten I took the pages and painted them and have been a happy bunny ever since.

i am rather fond of free book and free comics, but who isn't? and hey, those paint chip tags are very clever...very clever indeed.

My best freebie was a digital camera given to me by my roomate. It was still in really good condition and a pretty high model too! He was really sweet and had just bought a new one, so donated his "old" one to me :)

Free kisses from Twiglet followed by my lovely sewing machine Myrtle given to me by a lovely freecycler.
( I have also obtained another sewing machine through the same freecycler very recently, but haven't decided what to call her yet :)Myrtle is a little tired and emotional at the moment!

totally self-serving answer: almost anything on my blog of free craft tutorials (see hyperlinked name)

favorite recent freebie: the IKEA catalogue, though I fear it will end up in spending money

Oh... that's easy for me. It's Free Sample Day at Costco. Desperate, I know. For some reason certain foods always taste better served to you in a little plastic cup with a toothpick. Yuuummmm!
