Guess what we have been doing?

....no prizes for this one though as if you read the blog regularly then you will know that I couldn't pass up this opportunity!!

Goodwill was huge and there really was too much stuff to choose from and the one at the top has a bag sale on - fill a carrier bag for $5! Not too shabby at all!

And just to prove that these soup cups get everywhere in the world!!

And smug browser me! And I couldn't believe the prices - I got a skirt for 25c - that's about 15p!!!!! And being me I got lots of granny style bright clothes which I'm sure you will see soon enough :)

I makes me a little envious as the Uk charity shops have become stupidly expensive. I popped into one recently and there were a few things with the Primark label on priced at £3-£4 - which is probably more expensive than they were first time round. No wonder car boot sales have become so popular - it's a shame as I much prefer to buy from charity when I can but sometime balk at the price.

thats one of the things I like going back to North America, the exchange rate works really well in our favour. Can't beat 15p for a skirt!

ah. A woman who thrift shops on vacation. That's wonderful! I think that someone should start a tour company exclusively devoted to junking, dumpster diving, thrift stores, flea markets, and yard sales. And part of the package is that they ship your stuff back home for you.

I LOVE the thrift stores when I visit the states. Always devote at least one day to thrifting. For a brit it's awe-inspiring seeing so much vintage goodness under one roof isn't it?
Have fun!

It's a busman's holiday for you! A charity shop just wouldn't be a charity shop without those soup cups. My granny used to have them so I'm always drawn to them and have to resist on an almost weekly basis. Good to see they've made it to America too :)
