So this is what I'm wearing today - I didn't realise quite how big the jumper looked until I saw the photographs. I look twice my size! Anyway, I'm going to show you - good job I'm not vain ;)
The jumper and the skirt came from the jumble sale I went to recently on the 'fill a black bag for £2' day. Matt actually grabbed the jumper for me as I'd spotted it the day before and he knew I liked it. The vest underneath is Matt's that he usually sleeps in - I pinched it! And the tights which you can see a better picture of below are from Primark and the boots are from the charity shop. So today I am 100% thrifted too (tights and socks don't count)
So back to the jumper - do you think I'd be able to take it in/alter it so it fits me? And if so would I be able to do it with a needle and thread as I have no skill with yarn and needles! Or is it worth trying to shrink it - I'd rather not though as I quite like it. Any advice would be great.

If it was wool it might shrink, but that could ruin it. You could play with pinning it here and there and see if you think you could sew it to alter it.
I think you could take it in at the sides to give it a more feminine shape. Try pinning and tacking and then try it on. Then you can take tacking out and try again.
What about cropping it short and adding a funky fabric trim. Don't ask me how to do it though - just grab a pair scissors! : )
Nope - leave it as it is! I like it!!!
Perfecr colour for Spring. It's fab as it is :) I'm 100% thrifted here today too. I never seem to look as original and funky as you do though, I am wearing jeans and a drab brown jumper!
I say eat until it fits!
;o)
I say wear it and be proud. It looks great. Fab colour too.
I like big n baggy, I feel more comfortable and able to breath... love those tights too! Sarah x
