I've got trousers!!

Now that may not be such a statement to some of you but for me it is a big thing. I NEVER wear trousers - I'm very much a skirt and dress kind of girl. However today I looked in the trouser section of the charity shops I visited and I actually bought a pair. Want to see? Actually that is a rhetorical question as I'm going to put them in the post anyway although you may choose not to look :) And you can probably see the top of the picture whilst you are reading this so you have already caught a glimpse. Anyway.....

Fancy (Per Una) red linen trousers. They are slightly too big and too long but they can be hemmed. I'm going to have to try them on with various things I already own and see if I actually like them. I also hoping they aren't like the linen trousers I owned years ago that got bigger and baggier throughout the day as you wore them.

The buttons are cute too!

I also picked up a pair of trousers for Anya - again they are too big round the waist and too long but they at least have those button adjusters inside and look quite cute turned up on her.

And they are brand new with price label still attached - and they have sparkly silver thread running through them! Anya wasn't that keen on them but we will give them a go. If not they will come in for Tara :)

I also picked up this cute waistcoat for Anya which she does like.

It's made out of t-shirt material and has pictures of ladies and grand pianos on it!

I also got this t-shirt for me - I love the scarf effect round the neck. I was actually thinking last night that I need to start wearing scarves more - maybe this will inspire me!

I've been after a decent black skirt for a while (the only other one I have is made of silk so doesn't get worn that often). This one is linen and really isn't as shiny as it looks in the picture!

And the piece de resistance is this gorgeous spotty and stripy skirt! I love it and it will look great with my red shiny shoes :)

See - pretty!!

I'll let you know how I get on with the trousers :)

Ooh, those linen trews are fab! Gorgeous colour. I dug out my linen trousers for work last week, when we thought Spring had arrived. Sadly, I've not had chance to wear them again this week.

Lovely skirts too, and yes, you should wear more scarves. *scarf addict*

I love those skirts! You really must come and visit the 'boutique' near us, its fab and it has a whole top floor dedicated to vintage (I know, fantastic!)

Linen trous always get bigger through the day, it's not a bad thing.
Loving the spots and stripes, very you!!

Currently wearing baggy linen trousers. I was just thinking that I have a gorgeous cream pair of linen trousers that don't get baggy during the day, they weren't cheap though and that was in sale..... hmm.... maybe the reason they don't get baggy is that they are not on long enough!!!! They get put on, I go out, and then quickly take them off again (once I've got home of course!!!).

Really great finds! I'm the opposite, wear too few skirts, though I have plenty languishing in the closet.

Welcome to the world of trouser:) Lovely stuff as ever, love the scarf t.shirt. I wear a lot of scarves, they are great but get stuck in my zips a lot :)

Oh how fun! You can create a whole new style by changing from skirts to pants. I did that a couple of years back with a pair of op shop jeans and never looked back. Enjoy all your new gear.

I'm really impressed with your charity finds. I always go into my local charity shops, usually for books but sometimes a piece of clothing catches my eye. Love the skirts especially! Nic x
