Giveaway time!

It's traditional to give something away if you are taking part in Blogtoberfest but not mandatory by any means. I wasn't going to until I spotted Lily Pad chicken in the pile waiting to be listed as one of my Liberty fabric paperweight chickens. He'd gone missing for a couple of days earlier in the week and when he got back from wherever he had been, he would only lie on his side and he moaned a lot. Lets see if you can spot what is amiss - you'll have to look carefully!

That's right - he snuck off to a plastic surgeon and had a bum lift! Now, many people wouldn't notice this, and he insisted he hadn't had anything done but I can spot chicken surgery a mile off* And of course all Swirlyarts chickens need to be 'au naturel' to go in my shops so he couldn't be sold. He doesn't want to live with me any more (he muttered something about control freak and I think he swore) so it's best he goes to live with someone else who doesn't mind his bum lift or his slightly sweary ways :)

So if you would like Mr Lily Pad to come and live at your house (with some other goodies thrown in too) then just leave a comment. It doesn't have to be anything fancy - just a hello will do! I will let this competition run for a week so comments will close at 8pm (UK time) on the 10th Oct. Good luck and don't forget to tell your friends!

*Of course I made a little mistake sewing him up (not tricky when surrounded by screaming children at ballet!) but it seemed much more interesting to make up funny stories about the characters I make. And I'm in good company although Jodie's stories are much better than mine!

I'd love to offer Lily-Pad a new home - he'd fit in well here - we're a family of well-rounded rear ends ;)

Hi Lynsey,
Thanks for the story it had me giggling - not something that usually happens so early on such a cold, dark miserable morning. hehe
I would love to be entered into the giveaway for Mr Lily Pad - he'd make the perfect addition to our home. We're all a bit skew whiff and have very sweary ways hehe

I can live with his bum lift :)(maybe he can give me a few pointers?) His sweary ways we can also live with so long as he promises to bite his tongue a little around the Small People, so count me in!

That's a very cute story. I always choose the one that isn't perfect, because they seem to have personality. And who would want them to feel badly by not being chosen?

I too have time when I just want to lie on my side and moan a lot...good to know it can be cured with a bum lift, I've felt the need for one of those for ages! Mr Lily-Pad would fit in here nicely!

Aw, he can come and live with me :-) I currently have a ladybird, a snowman and a cow on the windowsill in my workroom, so he'd fit right in!

He's gorgeous!
I am loving all things chicken-y more so than usual at the moment, as we have just a couple of weeks ago got ourselves three chickens who are foraging round the garden as I type! We got a Warren, Columbian Black Tail and a Sussex Star. They are so funny and can't wait til they start laying :)

rofl!! I'd love to welcome him into my home - just last week I was lying on MY side and moaning and lot, and there may have been a bit of swearing too, though this was because I'd sprained my ankle falling down the stairs... I wish I'd managed to achieve a bum lift in the process!

I'm so glad I came across your blog. I'd love to give Lily-Pad a home, especially since I can't keep real chickens thanks to my horrid cat!
