Fabulous wedding

So my little sister got married at the start of this month and here are some pictures that captured the beautiful day :)

Sarah in her wedding dress. Me, my mum and Sarah went to Leeds to find a dress and this one was in either the first or second vintage shop we went in. Incidentally she had that big grin on her face all day :)

Sarah, our dad and the girls before the wedding :) Sarah and Graeme got married at Leighton Moss which has a beautiful woodland setting and because it had been raining like mad (it's called the Lake District for a reason!) the wetlands came right up to the bird hide the ceremony was in.

Being crafty people, Sarah and Graeme decorated the venue and a really nice touch were lots of hearts hanging in the trees on the way up to the hide :) There was handmade bunting too!

Exchanging rings :)

Signing the register - see the grin is still there :)

And this is where Sarah got Graeme's name wrong - much hilarity ensued :)

Parents of the bride and you can see the gorgeous backdrop behind :)

Beautiful bridesmaids :) Sarah and Graeme's other niece was a flower girl but I didn't get a picture of her. Rest assured she looked very cute too.

Of course, all the bouquets were handmade by Sarah too :)

Just married!

Graeme made the toppers for the cake and Sarah baked it :)

And this is where Tara loudly informed Sarah and Graeme 'Don't give me any white buttons 'cos I don't like white chocolate'. It was very funny but I guess you have to have been there :)

A fabulous day all round :)

That looks such a lovely wedding - quite simple and handmade - much prefer it to those huge big fat bridezilla events :)

I love the fact your sister got married in purple tights! Totally awesome and funks up the wedding dress! And what a beautiful setting. I really love seeing people doing something different on their wedding day :)

The smiles say it all, so nice to see a wedding that isn't a huge expensive production, family and love are the most important things.
