Boo!

I found a great site the other day called Mr Printables which has lots of free printables for kids :) I thought the Halloween ones were quite apt for this time of year and great if you are having a last minute party and need something!

Cool eh?

Wish list - or showing off other peoples great makes!

You know, just in case you want to buy me something for Christmas! Anyone??  All of these are from Etsy and I think you can browse the rest of my favourites if you go to my shop :) And don't forget my birthday is in January :)

I do like Thermos flasks and I do like brooches so this brooch from Olive and Harry combines the two beautifully!

These upcycled pouffes from Remakerie are fabulous and I love the fact that they are made from old jumpers! There are also some very cute bears that would go nicely....... :)

I have been to this very spot in Hawaii and this poster from Loose Petals would look perfect on my wall to remind me of a great holiday.

How pretty is this world map print from Art Pause? It would look great on any wall!

These earrings are pretty and sparkly and not dangly which is how I like my earrings! Get them from Tiny Galaxies.

And because of the spelling of my name I never had any named things when I was a small child (sob!) so I want a bunting necklace now please :) Get one your own from Lucie Ellen.

P.S. It's nearly the end of Blogtoberfest!

I'm a geek :)

And quite proud of it too! I was browsing Etsy the other night and came across this fabulous card.

Spike is lovely (and far better and nicer looking than Angel)

Then I found this cool cross stitch pattern.

This, quite frankly, fabulous skirt.

And this cool badge. You may have to have watched Torchwood to get this joke :)

I also like Star Wars but couldn't be bothered to go through the many, many pages!

Do you like geeky things? Do tell me I'm not the only one out there!

Here I am!

It just struck me that some people visiting this blog, especially those coming via Blogtoberfest *waves* might not know exactly where to find me online other than this blog. So I thought I would tell you all :) If you know all of this already then feel free to ignore me and go about your daily business!

Selling wise (which I will get out of the way first), you can find me on Etsy and also Folksy selling my upcycled treasures. I also have a range of chicken doorstops on Dorothy and Theodore - the fabrics used there are exclusive to them (in doorstop versions)

I also have a vintage shop online called Anya's Attic after our elder daughter! It sells lots of different things and is crying out to have the gorgeous things I found in France over the summer added to it. I just need extra hours in the day!

I am an avid Tweeter and am nearing 25,000 tweets! Erm, maybe that's where I can gain my extra hours from! I also have a Facebook business page, which I resisted at first, but now I love it :) You can find me too on Flickr, Linkedin and I also run Cuteable which is sometimes a chore yet at other times I find it thrilling to be looking at and finding all the cute out there.

My favourite thing at the moment (and something else I resisted) is Pinterest. It's fan-dabby-dozy and I love that I have somewhere to store all the great things I come across on the internet.

Like this cool tree.

And this yummy bread

And things that make me drool like this chair :)

So, where do you hang out online?
Do you have a Twitter or Pinterest addiction like me?
Are questions at the end of blog posts annoying or do they encourage you to comment?

What I made yesterday

The fair yesterday was good in terms of what I made - not as good in terms of sales but lots of business cards were handed out. Here's what I made.

A batch of 4 chickens with their zips sewn in.

A batch of 3 chickens, also had their zips sewn in.

And I took apart some button rings (an old product that were just languishing in the sale basket) and used them to make a button chicken. Aptly his name is Ringo :)

If you see the sales fairy then send her my way as I'm back in Nelson today and tomorrow!

Come and see me!

I am going to be in The Ace Centre in Nelson today, tomorrow and Sunday, selling my wares so pop along if you are in the area! And if you do come then be sure to say hello!

Ah and wish my baby sister Happy Birthday - she turns 30 today!

My Creative Space

This morning I spent time setting up my stall at The Ace Centre in Nelson. It was actually nice to be able to set it up the day before the fair and not be worrying about opening times and getting ready before the customers come round! I took my camera along and decided to show you my setting up routine.

This is the 'I've lugged everything out of the car' shot. Everything gets dumped on my table when setting up even though I have to take it all off to actually get started! I still do it every time though!

The table cloth stage. The lump underneath the cloth to the right is normally bigger than this but I forgot the wire basket that goes underneath. I improvised with a wicker basket that wasn't being used :)

The pincushion/paperweight chickens and the gift tags are usually the first things to be put on the table as they don't often move from that set location. It gives height and means that the chickens are seen from lots of different angles too.

The screwdriver often has to come out to steady my doorstop chicken rack. *Note to self, look for a new one online......*

I haven't yet made any of the new notebooks I'm been promising for a while so there are none to display here, and the old ones are half price in the sale basket, so there is more room on the table. Here the large envelopes, chicken doorstops and cards are out.

And this is everything out - badges, bunting, mini envelopes and stickers.

My stickers are now displayed in this wooden box I got in the charity shop for £1 and it works well as I can get all of my sticker sets out at once. Hopefully customers will think so too!

And the old adage about knowing your customers well? This box should bring local people to my stall! Well that's what I'm hoping anyway and it will help me shift some old stock.

I'm really not sure how this fair will go as it's in a town not famed for it's love of craft - I can only try though and it's not far from home and I work while behind my stall so..... It's a 3 day event over the weekend and Mary Portas is due to be visiting Nelson on Saturday so the organisers are hoping she will pop in. She is in town as Nelson is one of her pilot towns and the fair is advertised on her website so fingers crossed :) The fair is in The Ace Centre and the Victory Centre and both are in Nelson so do pop along if you live nearby!

Quick post

I had full intentions of joining in with A Day in the Life yesterday but my laptop died! So you are getting a picture of the bunting I was making at swimming lessons last night instead :)

Well it will be bunting soon :)
