Featured!

How exciting! The lovely Clare from Dolly Cool chatted to me on Facebook to let me know that she had seen me featured in Gift Focus Magazine which it turns out, is a magazine sent out to traders/buyers for giftware!

I've been featured as part of an article about BCTF and I'm thrilled to notice that I'm the only newcomer to be featured!

The start of the article is on the right hand side and on the next page are the featured traders.

And there's me at the top left hand side :) If you want to get a closer look then you can see the magazine online using this link :)

Indefatigable* - that's me!

I know I'm back earlier than I said but I'd forgotten about an interview I did for UK Handmade. I hadn't forgotten the interview, just the date it was being published on!

The interview goes into the details of how I left my job in teaching to concentrate on crafts :) And I come across as knowing what I'm talking about too which is nice! Thanks to Kirsten for the questions and choosing me to be interviewed :)

New Skills Festival

You may have noticed the big 'New Skills Festival' banner on the right that has been up since the start of September? It is being run by Jo over at A Bit of This and A Bit of That and today it is my turn to share some skills.

Cool interview with me, me, me!

There is an interview with me over on Charlotte Hupfields blog and it's rather good if I do say so myself :)

Charlotte makes gorgeous ceramics and you really should check out her shop on Folksy and her shop on Etsy.

Featured on Flickr!

I love Flickr and think it is a great tool for having your work seen by lots of lots of people. There is a feature over there called Galleries and I came back from holiday to find that my work had been featured in 3 galleries :)

Gallery one - Gene the button chicken is off to the right at the top and how cool is that Button Bouquet?

Gallery two - my ever popular Cheeky Chicken gift tags are included in this one.

Gallery three - my Emil gift tags are featured here but they have since sold as part of the big wholesale order I completed last week.

And the bonus part of being featured in these galleries apart from new people finding me? The names of the galleries are Button Goodness, Upcycling...Trash into Useful Items and Recycled Crafts. Just the market I want to get myself into so its great that people are finding my work this way!

Oh and by the way - we have just come back from the huge jumble sale in my home town (£3 per black bag that you can fill with as much stuff as you like!!!) so be expecting a few posts over the week about the goodies we got!

The Craft Tonic

There is a new online magazine out there called The Craft Tonic and in the first issue they have featured me :)

My recycled London Underground stickers were featured in a great London themed article. Thanks guys!

P.S. The wholesale order is progressing nicely so I should be back to regular blogging again after the weekend!

Retrash website

Exciting! Guess who is the featured artist over at Retrash? Bet you'll never guess!!

Oh yeah - that would be me!!! Pleased is not the word :) Thrilled more like! Head over there to read in more detail a little about me and why I choose to used recycled/upcycled materials.

Etsy finds email

Guess who was featured???? Guess!!! Yep, me!!!!!!!

There's my little funky tree gift tags in the bottom right :) It lead to a nice flurry of sales and lots of hearts for the tags! If you want to see the email in full then look here - there are lots of lovely upcycled goodies on offer.

UK Handmade Christmas gift guide

The UK Handmade Christmas Gift Collection is out now and I'm showing it to you as my Nana chickens are featured! Yipeee :)

As an aside does anyone know how you can search to see if you have been featured in a Treasury East? I have tried on Craftopolis but nothing comes up even when I know that I have clicked on the treasury just like it says. Any advice would be gratefully received!

UK Handmade magazine!!

I'm featured in the summer edition of UK Handmade magazine! Now it's not a surprise as I was interviewed for it but it's still very thrilling to say the least :) It's an online magazine that you can view by clicking the link above.


The issue is all about upcycling/recycling/reusing so I fit right in and I was asked about my use of scrapstores which was great as I could extol the virtues of them for hours :) Poor Kirsten who was doing my interview probably didn't like me chatting for ages though! You get to see some of my flower brooches (must make more of those soon) and my German recycled envelopes :)

Cool blog feature

Folksy Front Page!

I know it's not as competitive to get onto as the Etsy front page but I was still thrilled when I saw myself on the Folksy front page yesterday :)


My red, white and blue button brooch looks quite happy there! And I hope you didn't notice that I didn't get the 2 screenshots lined up and if you did you wouldn't say anything would you ;)

Crafting In Colour feature!

Yeah!! I have been featured on the Crafting In Colour team blog this morning! It's multicoloured Monday and my popular alien disco ACEO made it on!

You can see it there in the middle! Right I am going to be productive today :)

Featured!

I love being featured on peoples blogs and this feature is my first of 2009! So a big thank you must go to Kitschy Coo :)

Kitschy Coo was looking for upcyled goodies over on Folksy and found my Snow White and Rose Red repurposed journal/notebook. It's the bargain price of £4.50 so if you fancy a new notebook for 2009 then this one might be the one to get!
